Bryson DeChambeau Finally Admits Tiger Woods’ Behavior Was Insane

Bryson DeChambeau opens up about Tiger Woods' intense mindset and a moment in the Bahamas that left him taken aback. Here is the truth.

Winning is everything, but winning $270,000 in one week is a complete game-changer. Austin Hitt didn’t just stumble into the winner’s circle at the Federal Club in Glen Allen, Virginia. He played some heavy-hitting golf to finish at 20 under par and snatch the Korn Ferry Tour Championship title.

It was a clinical performance. Hitt posted a five-under-par 66 to pull ahead of the pack. While the paycheck is massive, the real drama was the battle for the top spot. Blades Brown was right there, waiting to claim the trophy, but he couldn’t quite close the gap.

The cost of a second place finish

Brown finished two shots behind the leader, which is a tough pill to swallow. According to Golf Digest Middle East, that runner-up finish still netted him $135,000. More importantly, that performance earned him a PGA Tour card for the next season. That is the real prize in this business. You can’t put a price on that kind of security.

Alistair Docherty also found success at the tournament. He finished third at 17 under par. Per Golf Digest Middle East, Docherty’s third-place run brought in an extra $90,000 in prize money. He is also headed to the PGA Tour next year alongside Brown.

Speed and stability on the tour

The season wasn’t just about the leaderboard; it was about how the game is played. Dylan Menante finished the year as the fastest player on the Korn Ferry Tour. He led the tour in overall speed of play, beating the average by more than 13 seconds, per Yahoo Sports.

Menante even topped the charts for every subcategory. He was more than 16 seconds faster than the average player when hitting off the tee. This kind of efficiency is impressive, especially since the tour started showing this data in May. The goal, as Korn Ferry Tour president Alex Baldwin said earlier this year, is to provide “greater context around a player’s pace of play and the various factors that may impact it during any given tournament.”

The grind of the season produces different kinds of winners. Some players, like Menante, find success by staying ahead of the clock.
