Bryson DeChambeau Finally Admits Tiger Woods’ Behavior Was Insane

Bryson DeChambeau opens up about Tiger Woods' intense mindset and a moment in the Bahamas that left him taken aback. Here is the truth.

The Korn Ferry Tour season ended with a clear message: the future is young, and it is ready to win. Austin Hitt took the title at the season-ending championship in Glen Allen, Virginia, but the real story belongs to Blades Brown. At just 19 years and four months old, Brown locked up his 2027 PGA Tour card by finishing second. He broke a long-standing record held by Jason Day. This isn’t just a good season; it is a historic shift in how the game gets its new blood.

Brown entered the final event 14th on the points list. A second-round 61 changed everything. He finished the week at 18-under par, landing just two shots behind Hitt. According to Field Level Media, this achievement established him as the most junior Korn Ferry Tour graduate ever. In 2007, Day reached qualification age at 19 years and 11 months. Brown shaved seven months off that mark. He turned pro in December 2024 at age 17, skipping college entirely to play on tour. His decision paid off with a solo third at the Puerto Rico Open earlier this year.

The Class of 2026 Takes Shape

The top 20 players on the points list now hold their spots on the main tour for 2027. Ross Steelman finished top of the final standings after a tie for 12th at Glen Allen. That result moves him into the field for the 2027 Players Championship and the US Open. Sandy Scott, who started the week outside the top 20, also earned a card thanks to Steelman’s leapfrogging move. Today’s Golfer confirmed the full list of graduates includes names like Doc Redman, Tommy Morrison, and Davis Lamb. Lamb started the week outside the magic number but finished eighth to sneak in.

Sixteen of these 20 players will be rookies next season. That includes Austin Hitt, Cole Sherwood, and Alvaro Ortiz. The group represents a mix of college standouts and early-turning pros. They all face the same test when the season starts at The American Express in January. The pressure to perform hits hard immediately. These players did not earn their spots through luck. They earned them through a full year of grinding on the second tier.

What It Means For The Next Year

The path to the top is getting harder, yet more players are finding a way through. The Korn Ferry Tour remains the primary gateway for talent. While other tours make noise about funding and restructuring, this group just did the work. Guy Kinnings, who serves as CEO of the DP World Tour, stated to BBC Sport that players “need to make a choice” regarding their competition venue. That message resonates across the pond, but in the US, the 20 players listed above have already made their choice.

Brown’s rise signals a change in the competitive landscape. He made nine of 11 cuts on the PGA Tour this year with special temporary membership. He also made 16 of 18 cuts on the Korn Ferry Tour. That consistency at such a young age is rare. The 2027 season will test whether these rookies can survive the jump from the second tier to the big stage.
